About Wedding Ceremonies

A few answers…

  • The earlier the better - it's advisable to secure your date as early as possible so you ensure you lock in your preferred celebrant.

Couples typically book a celebrant 9-12 months before their wedding date.

  • The process involves an initial consultation, completion of legal paperwork, collaborative ceremony planning, a rehearsal if desired, and finally, the wedding day itself. I’ll guide you through each step.

    Legal paperwork required:

    1. Nomination of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM) - must be filed a minimum of a month out from ceremony date

    2. Declaration of No Legal Impediment

    3. Marriage Certificate

I can also apply for your Official Marriage Certificate (which is $60 in NSW). This will be sent to you via registered post and typically takes 2-6 business days to arrive.

  • You'll need to provide proof of identity and residency (e.g., passport, birth certificate, drivers licence) and, if applicable, divorce or death certificates.

I will guide you on the specific requirements depending on your situation.

  • Of course! I can have as light or as heavy touch as you like with vow creation.

I'll provide examples, guidance, and can even assist in crafting personalised vows that resonate with your relationship.

  • Absolutely! Celebrants specialise in crafting customised ceremonies. We can chat about your ideas and requirements and from there I can provide suggestions and build the ceremony out to ensure your vision is perfectly executed.

A tailored ceremony is included in the bespoke ceremony package.

  • Yes! I'm more than happy to travel, locally, interstate, or even overseas for your ceremony.

Depending on the location of the wedding some travel costs may be incurred.

  • I certainly do.

    Destination weddings outside of Australia

If you have your wedding outside of Australia and want your marriage to be filed with Australia’s Birth, Deaths and Marriages Department, a separate ceremony will need to be conducted in Australia - this can be a very simple 5-10 minute ceremony with the marrying couple and two witnesses. We can chat about this further and I can answer any additional questions.
